Integrated and cohesive appliances allow for a sophisticated and rich aesthetic and create the illusion of more space
BENCH IMPRESS Sliding under one of the benchtops, Fisher & Paykel’s Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher integrates seamlessly with the cabinetry — you’d never know it was there as it’s barely audible when running. It’s a versatile choice, too, as one or two drawers can be used as needed, making it efficient, convenient and sustainable. Also integrated under the bench is the 60cm Built-In Combination Microwave Oven that offers fast, varied cooking solutions and the stylish stainless-steel Wine Cabinet with storage for up to 32 bottles. ELEVATED INTEGRATION This is a great case study in what can be achieved with limited natural light and space. By working with a refined colour palette and appliances made for subtle integration, the design team has created the illusion of extra room. The light-toned joinery, meanwhile, naturally brightens the kitchen and the mirrored wall reflects light into the interior. Marble benchtops, tiled surfaces, brass accents and gentle curves also add elegant detail while respecting the home’s heritage and its occupants’ needs.
