Last hurrah for snow season fun
WHILE official season festivities have wound up at most of the mountains of the region, there is still opportunities for mountain fun.
This week at Falls Creek sees the McKayos Gravity Enduro take place on October 7.
Taking off from the summit of Falls Creek’s Mt McKay, riders will traverse tracks and terrain to the shores of Lake Guy, covering a 23km course.

While no events are on the calendar, you can take in the sights at Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham and Mt Buller and enjoy whatever activities or hospitality may be on offer.
October also sees the beginning of the 7 Peaks Ride, a cycling challenge that takes place across several local mountains from October until April next year.

BIG NAME: Australia’s no.1 ranked Alpine Racer Alec Scott has returned home to Falls Creek for spring training and a busy Europa and World Cup season. Scott also has his sights set on selection and good results at the Winter Olympics in February. The snow base at Falls Creek has remained at an incredible 165cm even as the snow season nears its end.
