Michelini Wines 2016 Teroldego
delicacies are ideal with a glass of Michelini Teroldego, a cool climate varietal which originated in the Trentino-Alto Adige in northern Italy.
It has a dark, purpletinged colour and quite vibrant, smoky aromas of jumbled wild berries.
The flavour is distinctly savoury although full of fruit, with hints of zesty blackberry and maybe some blueberry to be found along with a little spice, with the earthy background of cedar.
This is a full-blooded red which is still works well with food like meaty stews and casseroles and the bold flavour of wild mushrooms.
But if you must, you can skip the mushies altogether and concentrate on the savouriness of the wine.
After all, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
