Still plenty on at the snow fields

SNOW fun is draw­ing to a close, but there are still plenty of ways to en­joy lo­cal moun­tains. Those at Falls Creek are look­ing for­ward to the McKays Snow. Dirt. Road. En­duro on Oc­to­ber 6, with the course tak­ing rid­ers 23 kilo­me­tres through var­i­ous ter­rains for a to­tal de­scent of 1750 me­tres. At Mt Hotham, chil­dren can en­joy the fun of Lego at Big D as LEGOLAND® Dis­cov­ery Cen­tre Mel­bourne is bring­ing LEGO® fun from the city to Hotham these Septem­ber school hol­i­days un­til Oc­to­ber 7. At Mt Buller, Yo­plait Petit Miam Kids’ Week is tak­ing place un­til Fri­day, with plenty of fun for the kids to en­joy. Mt Buller will also host 2018 ski sea­son clos­ing fes­tiv­i­ties on Oc­to­ber 6. At Mt Buf­falo, the snow cover is still suf­fi­cient for sight­see­ing and snow­play, and pos­si­bly to­bog­gan­ing (de­pend­ing on cur­rent con­di­tions – check on ski re­ports as be­low). What­ever moun­tain you’re vis­it­ing, keep an eye on snow cams and ski re­ports, or ask at your lo­cal ski hire busi­ness or tourism in­for­ma­tion cen­tre to find out cur­rent snow lev­els, snow chain fit­ting ad­vice, and weather at re­sorts around the area.
