Supreme catering versatility
“STRAIGHT from the Ovens Catering” have been treating wedding guests all over the North East to their delicious food for the past 11 years.
They are mobile, offsite caterers specialising in marquee weddings and corporate functions.
Menus are tailor-made to suit each individual function and all food is prepared by Hiltontrained chef, Chris Davey, from elegant canapés to scrumptious desserts.
No frozen, mass produced items are on their menus, and all courses are prepared specifically for each function, with the business capable of setting up full onsite kitchens at just about any location.
Venues vary from private homes to rented holiday houses, garden marquees and local historic halls, anywhere between Wangaratta and Harrietville.
“We have catered in a commercial apple shed; at wineries; in between the ponds at a local trout farm; next to the green at golf courses; at the top of Mt Buffalo, and more,” Mr Davey said.
North East venues that the business have regularly catered at include Dreamers at Mt. Beauty; Bright Community Centre, Porepunkah Hall, the Da Vinci Club and many others.
“All types of functions are catered for, including christenings, birthday parties, Christmas in July dinners, sporting events, charity dinners and club events.
“Sit down dinners vary from 30 to 450 people, and menus are tailored specifically to suit each function and budget, with consideration taken for any specific dietary requirements.”
Straight From the Ovens can also supply corporate lunch and hot finger food platters and delivery only spit roasts and salads.
