Culinary creations for a memorable reception
THE committed and passionate kitchen staff at Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway can help make your wedding reception a memorable and enjoyable occasion. The kitchen staff, led by executive chef Chris Connors, are about to introduce a brand new wedding menu, featuring an expanded range of choices to suit many different tastes, cuisines and budgets. Whether your special day is big or small, the Wangaratta Gateway team can consult with you to ensure your reception goes off without a hitch and can accommodate groups of anywhere from 20250 people. They can also easily accommodate special dietary needs and requirements, including gluten and dairy free dishes. “There’s really something for everybody, and we’ve tried to make the menu as consistent year round as possible,” Mr Connors said. Mr Connors said the entire kitchen staff at the hotel are passionate about keeping on top of what is happening in the global food industry, and he is committed to supporting local producers and growers when sourcing ingredients, in order to provide the best possible flavor experience for diners. “It’s right on your doorstep, you’ve got to utilise it,” he said. No special meal is complete without a tempting dessert, and Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway recently employed a new dessert chef, Emily Soon, originally from Malaysia, who recently relocated to Wangaratta after spending time learning her craft at the William Angliss Institute, Melbourne. Emily has been with the hotel for the past four months and has been winning fans among Wangaratta food lovers with a range of different desserts she has created, including a smooth salted caramel semifreddo and a rosewater meringue topped with berries and handmade Turkish delight. Desserts can even be matched to specific liqueurs and flavors.
