Capturing an atmosphere of love and joy

Wangaratta Chronicle - North East Wedding Guide - - FRONT PAGE -

JEN from Jennifer Boote Photography loves wedding days.

“They are by far my favorite work day” she said.

“The pace is usually fairly frantic, but that’s fun too.

“I try to be at my most obvious during the creative portraits and family portrait session times of the day while the rest I try to be as invisible as possible.

“My goal at any wedding is to capture the moments that can so easily be overlooked, but when captured, form a big part of the story of your wedding day.

My other goal is to capture at least one hero shot.

“The one that you will be able to treasure forever.”

Jen is a natural light photographer and will go hunting for locations once she knows where you are getting married and where your reception is.

“After chatting with you, I like to find a place that I believe will match what you are looking for in your images and will help create memories of the perfect day for you,” she said.

“I’m very happy to advise on what times are best for photography and what locations will work well, but ultimately I will work with what it is that you want and like.”

Some of the images she likes to capture as an example, are - the shoes (his and hers), the flowers, the rings, the perfume or that special item that has been handed down to the bride.

“All of those are important to help you document the day, but you also need the moments that happen unexpectedly.

“The moment when the bride takes a deep breath and walks down the aisle, the moment the groom first spots his forever love.

“The moment Dad’s hand leaves his daughter’s and passes it on to her soon to be husband.

“The moment that Mum cries as she watches her son or daughter make the biggest commitment of their life and the tears slip down her face.

“The moment one of the flower girls gets a kiss from the pageboy.”

Jen has wedding packages that she offers, but finds that each couple has their own dreams and plans and she likes to try and make her packages suit what each couple want.

“Your wedding is first and foremost about you and that is how I focus my packages and my photography.”

She is also extremely flexible with locations and happily travels around the region and, for that matter, all over Victoria and beyond.

“There are many beautiful reception locations in our region particularly, and this has inspired me to put together an online Bright/Mt Beauty Wedding Guide.”
