THE Federal Government just needs to commit to urgently building a clean coal power station with an operator other than the existing ones.

They can build it at Jervis Bay which is part of the Australian Capital Territory which has all the necessary requirements with it being close to a coal supply and water.

Many countries overseas are building these clean coal power stations to provide base load power supply.

The South Australian government solution of batteries and generators is like plugging a dyke of a volcano while it erupts and not addressing the issue.

In the southeast section of Australia, May and June are periods where climatic conditions make renewable energy generation difficult due to the lack of wind and fogs.

KEN HOCKING, BUNDALONG Not good given the length of some of them roads. Why don’t they fix the roads up instead of making the people suffer.

SAGE, WANGARATTA I don’t drive so what opinion can I actually give. But I think it’s too slow. 100 seems reasonable.
