Train­ing course bee­keep­ers need to com­plete

BEE­KEEP­ERS are in­vited to take part in work­shops to as­sist with on­line train­ing to help them ac­cess and com­plete the Biose­cu­rity On­line Train­ing (BOLT) pest and disease course.

Com­plet­ing the Plant Health Aus­tralia (PHA) BOLT course is a re­quire­ment un­der the Aus­tralian Honey Bee Biose­cu­rity Code of Prac­tice for all bee­keep­ers with more than 50 hives.

As­sis­tance with on­line train­ing is avail­able through a se­ries of up­com­ing work­shops for Vic­to­rian bee­keep­ers, in­clud­ing one in Wan­garatta on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 17.

The ses­sion time will be from 6pm to 9pm with the on­line course tak­ing ap­prox­i­mately 90 min­utes to com­plete.

There is no charge for bee­keep­ers with 50+ hives and a $20 fee for hobby bee­keep­ers.
