Pub­lic land needs to be pro­tected

THANK you to the Ru­ral City of Wan­garatta coun­cil­lors who voted against changes of park­ing in Ovens Street.

It is time for ratepay­ers to be treated with in­formed re­spect.

The dam­age to our com­mu­nity by the de­struc­tion of the Wan­garatta Town Hall and the Big W de­vel­op­ment con­tin­ues.

Ovens Street, King Ge­orge Gar­dens, Barr Re­serve and the Show­grounds need to be pro­tected as com­mu­nity as­sets.

The Vic­to­rian En­vi­ron­ment As­sess­ment Coun­cil (VEAC) has made a series of far reach­ing rec­om­men­da­tions for leg­isla­tive re­form for pub­lic land re­quest­ing com­mu­nity re­sponse.
