Wangaratta Chronicle - - What's On -

AN exhibition featuring three locally and nationally significant artists creating contemporary new art works by responding to the theme of the eucalyptus species, River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) is on display at the Wangaratta Art Gallery.

The artists, Penny Algar, Lorraine Connelly-Northey and Damien Wright, respond to the landscape, the environment and the traditional use in Aboriginal culture, presenting the relationship from both an ecological and spiritual perspective.

The exhibition has included a variety of related programs based around the River Red Gum theme, as well as the extraordinary work of the featured artists, and it will come to an end on Sunday.
