ARTS, crafts, com­edy and cre­ativ­ity will all be in the mix when the Wan­garatta Li­brary launches its school hol­i­day pro­gram next week.

There are a wide va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties to en­ter­tain young peo­ple of all ages, which kicks off when fa­mous co­me­dian Andy Jones comes to town to per­form his hi­lar­i­ous act “What’s the joke” on Wed­nes­day, July 4 at 10.30am.

Then on Fri­day, July 6 pri­mary aged chil­dren can test their skills in the li­brary and com­plete a set of fun chal­lenges as part of a Scav­enger Hunt be­ing held at 2.30pm.

Teens can join lo­cal artist Linda Sy­ers on Mon­day, July 9 when she holds a book bind­ing work­shop, sup­ply­ing ev­ery­thing needed to cre­ate an A5 size sketch book, in a ses­sion run­ning from 2.30pm un­til 4.30pm for 12 to 16 year olds.

Linda re­turns on Tues­day, July 10 for a con­certina art pro­gram for six to 12 year olds, where par­tic­i­pants will be mak­ing their own dec­o­ra­tive book cov­ers and ties.

Young sci­en­tists aged seven to 12 are in­vited to join a CSI in­ves­ti­ga­tion, tak­ing part in an ex­per­i­ment to dis­cover how par­tic­u­lar in­gre­di­ents re­act with dif­fer­ent sub­stances, on Wed­nes­day, July 11 from 10.30am un­til 11.30am.
