A $500 bur­sary is again be­ing of­fered to sup­port a lo­cal stu­dent in­tend­ing to pur­sue a post-sec­ondary full time course in farm­ing or hor­ti­cul­ture in 2019.

The Pi­o­neer’s Me­mo­rial Bur­sary is be­ing pro­vided by the Wan­garatta His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, trustee of the Pioneers Me­mo­rial Trust Fund.

Bur­sary co-or­di­na­tor David McCabe said ap­pli­ca­tions are now be­ing sought from those whose par­ents live within the Ru­ral City of Wan­garatta and are en­gaged in farm­ing or hor­ti­cul­ture.

Ap­pli­ca­tions should be for­warded to the Wan­garatta His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, PO box 812, Wan­garatta 3676 by Oc­to­ber 30.
