FUND­ING of up to $8000 will be avail­able for cre­ative art projects within the Ru­ral City of Wan­garatta to help com­mem­o­rate the 10 year an­niver­sary of the 2009 Vic­to­rian bush­fires.

Wan­garatta, Alpine and Indigo lo­cla gov­ern­ment ar­eas are among 21 across the state which are el­i­gi­ble to take part in the State Gov­ern­ment’s Com­mu­nity Arts Grants Pro­gram.

The pro­gram, to be ad­min­is­tered by Re­gional Arts Vic­to­ria, of­fers fund­ing of up to $8000 per lo­cal gov­ern­ment area for cre­ative projects that re­flect the ex­pe­ri­ences of lo­cal com­mu­ni­ties di­rectly af­fected by the 2009 bush­fires.

Ap­pli­ca­tions will open mid Oc­to­ber - more de­tails will be on the Re­gional Arts Vic­to­ria web­site later this month.
