Wangaratta Chronicle - - News -

An enthusiastic audience of around 90 filled recently the seats of the Uniting Church hall in Rowan Street for a performance by Melbourne gypsy folk band, Vardos Trio. Presented by Uniting in partnership with the Melbourne Recital Centre, the concert series aims to bring beautiful music to rural Victoria while also providing a social opportunity for members of the community who may feel isolated. Those in attendance were treated to a lively performance by the three consummate musicians, Alan Hunt, Sofia Chapman and Kiri Büchler, who have toured the world performing music they learned from members of the Roma (Gypsy) community.
