Ten­nis kicks off to­mor­row

TEN­NIS ac­tion kicks off at the Wan­garatta Lawn Ten­nis Club to­mor­row with se­niors and ju­niors as well on the sched­ule.

The ju­niors will kick off with a muster day at 8:30am while there will also be ju­nior coach­ing from 8:30-9:30am for ju­niors as well as hot shots from 9:30-10:30am.

The first round of the se­nior ag­gre­gate will kick off at 1:30pm with sev­eral of the reg­u­lar play­ers set to fea­ture heav­ily.

En­tries need to be in for se­nior ag­gre­gate by 12:30pm and can be done by vis­it­ing the club’s web­site: www.wanglawn­ten­nis.com.au or phon­ing the club on (03) 5721 2438.

THE fourth McKayos Chal­lenge will fea­ture a new start line af­ter rid­ers had dif­fi­cul­ties get­ting to the top of Mt McKay last year.

The unique grav­ity en­duro event race which com­bines snow, sin­gle track, fire trails and sealed moun­tain roads has tra­di­tion­ally started at Mt McKay - the high­est drive­able point in the South­ern Hemi­sphere.

As of Tues­day morn­ing there were 200 rid­ers who had signed up for this year’s McKayos Chal­lenge, set­ting a new record that more that dou­bles any of the pre­vi­ous three years.
