Make sure you can vote in the state election
LOCAL residents are being encouraged to enrol to vote, or update their enrolment details, ahead of the 2018 Victorian state election on Saturday, November 24.
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reminding eligible Victorians to enrol or update their details before 8pm on Tuesday, November 6.
Electoral Commissioner, Warwick Gately, said it’s the first time those born in the 21st century will be voting in a state election.
“If you were born on or before November 24, 2000, you are eligible to vote in the upcoming state election,” Mr Gately said.
Victorians can update their details via the VEC’s website at vec.vic.gov.au.
