Make sure you can vote in the state elec­tion

LO­CAL res­i­dents are be­ing en­cour­aged to en­rol to vote, or up­date their en­rol­ment de­tails, ahead of the 2018 Vic­to­rian state elec­tion on Sat­ur­day, Novem­ber 24.

The Vic­to­rian Elec­toral Com­mis­sion (VEC) is re­mind­ing el­i­gi­ble Vic­to­ri­ans to en­rol or up­date their de­tails be­fore 8pm on Tues­day, Novem­ber 6.

Elec­toral Com­mis­sioner, War­wick Gately, said it’s the first time those born in the 21st cen­tury will be vot­ing in a state elec­tion.

“If you were born on or be­fore Novem­ber 24, 2000, you are el­i­gi­ble to vote in the up­com­ing state elec­tion,” Mr Gately said.

Vic­to­ri­ans can up­date their de­tails via the VEC’s web­site at vec.vic.gov.au.
