Elvin set to step down from leagues post
AFL NORTH East Border is on the lookout for a new leagues manager with general manager of the Female Football League Noelene Elvin announcing her resignation.
Elvin, who is also manager of the Albury/Wodonga junior league, has been with AFLNEB for the past two years and will finish up in her role on November 30 with applications already open for a replacement.
Over the past two years, Elvin has overseen significant growth in female football which has seen an 83 per cent increase in participation from 2017 to 2018 alone.
While this growth has come with its own unique challenges, Elvin has established a platform for the future of female football in the region.
Through Elvin’s work, AFLNEB have been able to implement an operational framework, designed and implemented league rules and regulations, and established an event schedule that all contribute to developing a culture for female participation.
In a statement released via the AFLNEB website, Elvin was thanked for her time in charge of two of the growing leagues of the region.
“On behalf of the AFLNEB Commission and affiliated leagues and clubs we thank Noelene for her energies and efforts over the past two years and wish her well in her next venture,” the statement read.
Application details for the league manager role can be found at www. aflneb.com.au.
