Cubby Town will be back
ORGANISERS hope to bring Cubby Town back to Yanchep National Park next year after about 5000 people attended the first event in WA on Sunday.
Nature Play WA events manager Nicole McNamara said about 1400 families had registered for the free April 30 event, supported by the Department of Sport and Recreation and City of Wanneroo.
Miss McNamara said different generations worked together, showing “amazing ingenuity and construction”.
“There were so many different ways people created cubbies,” she said.
“It had a really relaxed and nice vibe.
“We’re hoping to run Cubby Town again at Yanchep National Park in 2018 as it was such a huge success.”
Other activities at Cubby Town included a scavenger hunt, rock climbing, high ropes, kite making and sightseeing around the park.
