POLICE have warned that medication stolen from a Beldon home recently could be lifethreatening if it is abused. Officers are investigating the theft of a heart and lung monitor and medication in tablet form known as Frisium from a Beldon home on August 25. The items were inside a green Bunnings canvas bag that was stolen between 3pm and 7pm. Frisium is a drug used to treat epilepsy. North West Metropolitan control centre officer Sharon Powell said it was unlikely the thief knew what was inside the bag. “The items will not be of use to anyone other than the people it is used to help,” she said. “We don’t want to see the medication being left where children may find it. I urge anyone who has possession of the tablets to call police.” Police have released a picture of the stolen heart and lung monitor. It carries Healthlyne branding. If you have seen the device, call Hillarys police on 9403 1000.
