Set sail for new horizons
WITH Princess Cruises committing to a record deployment from Fremantle for its 2019-20 summer cruising season, West Aussies are spoilt for choice when it comes to their next holiday destination.
Perth’s ship for the summer season, the Sun
Princess, will sail over 141 cruise days out of Fremantle on itineraries ranging from four to 46 days to destinations across Australia, Asia and Africa.
“Cruising is one of the easiest ways to travel as a whole family – it offers great value, incredible onboard entertainment with terrific facilities and an abundance of fresh food and food choices, including chef Curtis Stone’s Share Restaurant,” Princess Cruises Asia-Pacific senior vice-president Stuart Allison said.
“The beauty of cruising from WA is that Fremantle is the gateway to some incredible destinations in Asia and the Indian Ocean.
“There is so much to see from WA’s backyard from Busselton to Zanzibar, Tanzania.”
The season also sees the return of the 46-day Indian Ocean and South Africa Odyssey cruise.
“This itinerary has performed very well,” Mr Allison said.
“We’ve brought this itinerary back by popular demand as it visits some incredible destinations, such as Cape Town, and this season we’re introducing a new maiden port call to Zanzibar.”
Other notable itineraries include a 15-day Indonesia roundtrip voyage over the Christmas and New Year holidays and a 17-day Northern Explorer sailing between Fremantle and Sydney on both the Sun
Princess and Golden Princess.
Expect white sands and gently lapping waters on the Zanzibar coastline.
