TWO com­mu­nity mu­si­cal groups will come to­gether for an in­au­gu­ral joint con­cert this week­end.

This year, the Wan­neroo Civic Choir will hold its an­nual con­cert with the Church­lands Com­mu­nity Orches­tra, putting in­stru­ments to voices.

The per­for­mance will fea­ture the med­ley Fan­ta­sia on Bri­tish Sea Songs

as well as mu­sic from com­posers rang­ing from Verdi, Mozart and El­gar to Paul Si­mon, John Den­ver, Peter Allen and Lee Ker­naghan.

The Alexan­der Heights-based choir, which formed in 1982, will be con­ducted by mu­si­cal direc­tor Kent Lo­gie who has led the group for the past 22 years, while Sheila Bar­low will lead the orches­tra as she has done for the past 10 years.

The con­cert will be held ay the Kar­rinyup Com­mu­nity Hall from 3pm on Novem­ber 11.
