MORE than 1000 peo­ple cel­e­brated the grand launch of Alki­mos Beach res­i­den­tial es­tate’s new dis­play vil­lage last week­end.

There were tram tours, work­shops, kids’ ac­tiv­i­ties and wildlife dis­plays on the day, which also marked the of­fi­cial open­ing of the com­mu­nity’s new sales and in­for­ma­tion cen­tre fea­tur­ing a rooftop view­ing deck over­look­ing the ocean.

Vis­i­tors could in­spect the seven new dis­plays in the es­tate, the first in the coun­try to achieve a six-star Green Star rat­ing from the Green Build­ing Coun­cil of Aus­tralia for its on­go­ing com­mit­ment to sus­tain­abil­ity.

Four homes have a seven-star en­ergy ef­fi­ciency rat­ing through the Na­tion­wide House En­ergy Rat­ing Scheme, while the re­main­der achieve a min­i­mum six-star rat­ing.

LandCorp chief op­er­a­tions of­fi­cer Dean Mud­ford said the vi­sion was for the joint ven­ture with LendLease to work to­wards be­com­ing a car­bon neu­tral com­mu­nity.

LendLease Com­mu­ni­ties WA gen­eral man­ager An­thony Row­bot­tam said homes in­cluded an En­ergy Smart Home Pack­age, sav­ing res­i­dents up to 50 per cent on en­ergy bills.

There are ti­tled lots from 150sq m to more than 400sq m avail­able for $128,500-$395,000, as well as turnkey pack­ages with ocean vis­tas to choose from.

Un­til April 30, there is a $16,500 dis­count on select ti­tled lots, with prices start­ing at $128, 500.
