DEVELOPERS of a future 50unit apartment block in Mindarie have released artist impressions to entice local buyers.
Overlooking Claytons Beach on Alexandria View, the $15 million M/30 development by Match will have a range of one- to three-bedroom apartments spread over five storeys.
The development had caused concerns among nearby residents about vehicle access and rubbish collection at several North Metropolitan Development Assessment Panel meetings earlier this year and in 2016.
M/Group managing director Lloyd Clark said the site allowed the architects to design an apartment building for a specific market group.
“We saw this project as an opportunity to create an environment specific to the people who are already living in the area,” he said.
“We recognised that just because a person might choose to downsize, it doesn’t mean they have to downgrade or leave the area.
“In most apartment developments, the design often remains somewhat generic for broad appeal.
“Due to the sheer number of Mindarie residents living in large homes with grown families, we have been able to focus purely on creating an environment that blurs the line between apartment living and large independent housing.”
Mindarie was established in 1988 on the back of an urban expansion and features large family homes.
Developers expect to finish building the apartment block in late 2018.
