Thousands step out at festival

THERE was plenty of foot traffic at Edith Cowan University in Joondalup last Sunday (pictured right) with about 7000 people attending the region’s popular free Little Feet Festival for children 12 and under.

Many of this year’s festival activities related to the theme of A Voyage to the Sea.

Those with an artistic streak produced illustrated mermaids, fish and octopus mobiles, mini sea creatures and fish puppets.

On the stage, Happy Feet Fitness used song and dance to teach audiences about the world of sea animals and the importance of beach safety.

Joondalup chief executive Garry Hunt said the festival’s success augured well for the City’s summer of free family entertainment.

The Little Feet Festival 2017 was made possible by the support of key partner Goodstart Early Learning and media partners Community Newspaper Group and Nova 93.7.
