Game to deliver on cultural goals
FUTURE multicultural football prospects will showcase their talents during West Perth’s International Round celebrations at Joondalup Arena on Saturday.
Players from the Edmund Rice Centre’s Female AFL Academy are to feature in the curtain-raiser to the Falcons’ WAFL clash against Subiaco. Edmund Rice special projects leader Joe Moniodis said it would be “an amazing opportunity to celebrate the diversity of the game”.
“The academy highlights the growth of talent and awareness of the game among multicultural female youth and seeks to improve cultural awareness and understanding,” he said.
The centre’s junior teams – the Edmund Rice Lions and Butler Falcons – will play at half-time.
