Register for project work

-

Local businesses are encouraged to create a profile on the Industry Capability Network (ICN) Gateway to showcase their strengths and capabilities to new customers, connect with other businesses and sub-contractors, and ensure they are notified of projects that require their specific business capabilities.

ICN representative Colin Young, based at the Latrobe Valley Authority office, is working with local businesses and contractors to help them secure project work, including elements of the $2.3 billion High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) project.

The HCMT project will deliver 65 high capacity metro trains, a state-of-the-art depot at Pakenham East, and two train simulators to support the training of drivers.

It will provide hundreds of jobs to build the high capacity metro trains and associated infrastructure, as well as ongoing employment opportunities over the next 30 years for maintenance of trains.
