Netball sides set for finals

A strong pre-season has led to a successful season at Warragul Industrial­s Netball Club, with all six netball sides set to play in the finals.

Strong coaching of the junior sides over past seasons has begun to pay off for the club.

The club have backed its young juniors to take on senior playing roles, with six D graders (17 and under) cementing their spots within the three senior grades.

The strong D grade (17 and under) team sit at the top of the Ellinbank District Netball ladder, while other junior teams are also set to play finals under the guidance of A grade players Lara Commadeur, Stacey Lawry and Jessie Wyatt.

The E grade team are fourth and with a healthy percentage, should cement their place. While F grade currently sit fifth, there Is a significan­t gap to sixth-placed Poowong.

The senior teams are also well-placed to have an impact in September.

The A grade team look set to secure the double chance, just two points behind ladder leaders Ellinbank.

The B grade side lead a pack fighting for the valuable second position on the ladder behind the undefeated Buln Buln, while the C grade side is also well-placed, currently third.

With a young, resilient and vibrant squad, the future looks promising for the club, which carries a committed and fun club culture.
