Debate over for some

Warragul & Drouin Gazette - - NEWS -

With all the arguments against same sex marriage (SSM) being published last week, let’s not forget that this debate has been over and done with in other western democracies for many years.

SSM is already legal in the US, Canada, the UK and New Zealand.

Maybe opponents of SSM could try pointing out a single common detrimental impact that legalising same sex marriage has had on these countries.

Good luck because you'll be quick to find that there isn't one. Tristan Hennessy, Warragul

What has happened to cat owners of Baw Baw Shire, I am speaking about those who live south of the railway line in Warragul.

With the rate notice came a council news pamphlet. I quote from it “cat curfew.: A 24 hour cat curfew now applies; owners must keep their cats confined to their property at all times.”.

My garden has become the neighbour’s cat litter tray and it stinks. I love my native birds and do not find joy when I see heaps of feathers.

Now they have taken to fishing in my pond, and the one from next door likes to climb up to my bird feeder tray. If you want your cats outside get a cat enclosure, but in you own yard.

A big bouquet to the principal of Drouin Secondary College that helped me with my husband, who has a walker, on Saturday August 5. We were attending Popstars, the 90th Musical, it was much appreciated.

Bricks to CoDE (Gaz 22/8) for trying to make us think the use of drones is a great thing. What they will end up being is a gross invasion of the public’s privacy, and another more advanced form of Big Brother to contend with. Sorry CoDE not convinced.
