Warragul & Drouin Gazette - - LIFTOUT -

Moe thirds was always given a chance of downing Traralgon, that finished a game ahead of it on the ladder, in their qualifying final clash.

What was a surprise though was the manner in which the Lions brushed aside Traralgon.

They were in charge all day in setting up a 27-point lead by three-quarter time before unleashing a seven-goal last term for a commanding 15-7 to 48 victory.

Noah Gown, Joshua Wilson and Sean Burns were Moe’s best with Rhys Anderson kicking five goals.

Traralgon was best served by Jack Strong, Ewan Williams and Ajith Achiek.

The Maroons will now front up to Bairnsdale in Sunday’s first semi-final.
