Sem­i­nar to get crafty

An in­ti­mate sem­i­nar for cre­atives look­ing to build con­fi­dence, host events and sell their works will be held in Trafal­gar on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 12.

The sem­i­nar, “Sell­ing Your­self – Skills for Cre­atives” will be pre­sented by Craft Vic­to­ria at the Trafal­gar Artspace be­tween 1pm and 3pm. It is a free event.

Pre­sen­ters Gemma Jones from Craft Vic­to­ria and Anthea Abell from Full Tilt Nanna will help those in at­ten­dance how to ap­proach your au­di­ence with mean­ing­ful nar­ra­tive about your­self and your work.

Learn how to use the story of your­self to build your artist bi­og­ra­phy and add depth and value to your prac­tice.

Gemma Jones is the Crafts Vic­to­ria pub­lic pro­grams man­ager. She man­ages the Craft Cubed Fes­ti­val and the Craft Hatch Mar­ket program.

Anthea Abell is the cre­ative cro­chet queen be­hind Full Tilt Nanna. With a back­ground in sales, Ms Abell is also a so­cial me­dia gun for hire and un­der­stands the needs and pres­sures of be­ing a mama, a maker and a business woman.
