FIDA grand finals keenly contested
Football Integration Development Association grand finals were keenly contested at Montmorency recently.
While Kananook, Ferntree Gully and Parkside walked away with comfortable victory in the top divisions, there was excitement in the division four decider where St Albans held on to defeat Rupertswood by just five points.
St Albans Saints grew over the course of the season, improving their skills and teamwork while displaying great sportsmanship.
Best on ground was awarded to Jonathan Kha, who also kicked a goal in the grand final. Kon Havelas and Brett Mackey were the other goal kickers.
Saints captain Jason Heagerty led the team well, having topped the goal kicking for the season.
