LOCAL LIVING Car Megamart are gearing up for 2nd annual MEGA Car Show
Motoring enthusiasts and their families are invited to Car Megamart in Pakenham on Sunday, 15th October for a FREE event, the 2nd Annual Car Megamart MEGA Car Show and Family Fun Day.
Attendees can enjoy hundreds of classic cars on display at the event, free activities for the family, food trucks and more.
Last year the event saw over 800 classic cars on show and over 2000 attendees through the gates with larger numbers expected this year. The MEGA Car Show and Family Fun Day will be a treat for the whole family, with food trucks, live entertainment, market stalls and free kids activities, including: bungee trampolines, a rock climbing wall, face painting and jumping castles.
The event will feature the Melbourne Old School Cruisers car club, however all classic cars are welcome to come along on the day to be included in the show.
Entry for both cars and patrons is free, with a gold coin donation to our charity partner optional for attendees. The MEGA Car Show is supporting the Young Veterans Association, an organisation dedicated to supporting veterans of all services.
The event will see proceeds raised from a sausage sizzle, army demonstrations, and face painting be donated to the Association along with generous contributions from patrons on the day.
Currently competing in the Outback Challenge, proceeds from the event will help the organisation to continue offering opportunities like these to their members.
Last year, the event raised $1700 for the Young Veterans, with hopes to double the amount this time around.
Director Car Megamart, Ray Weinzierl, is excited to be hosting this event for the second year in a row in support of the Young Veterans Association, and is looking forward to seeing plenty of car lovers and families on the day.
“Our convenient location just off Melbourne’s Princes Freeway makes Car Megamart the perfect location for families in the South East to come down to this Mega event. Last year of was a fantastic community day out and we enjoy giving back where we can”, he said.
“This event has something for everyone: cars, free activities for the kids, food trucks, live entertainment and more; plus, our dealers will be onsite all day to showcase their fantastic range of second-hand cars”, Ray said.
The free MEGA Car Show and Family Fun Day is being held at Car Megamart, Commercial Drive, Pakenham from 10am – 2pm.
