Ute dumped in dam and dirt bike stolen

An $11,000 dirt bike is still miss­ing af­ter what po­lice de­scribed was a brazen day­light theft in War­ragul last week.

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the theft of a Toy­ota Hilux util­ity and Yamaha YZ250 dirt bike that were stolen from a Sut­ton St prop­erty just af­ter 10am on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 29th.

The dirt bike was in the back of the sil­ver util­ity.

The util­ity was later re­cov­ered where it was dumped in a dam at Moir Rd, Trafal­gar East. Po­lice said the util­ity had ex­ten­sive wa­ter dam­age and was un­re­pairable.

Po­lice said two of­fend­ers left the scene rid­ing the mo­tor­bike to­wards Trafal­gar.

Po­lice be­lieve two males were in­volved in the in­ci­dent and may have been driv­ing a burnt or­ange Com­modore. The reg­is­tra­tion may have been ZXT or sim­i­lar.

The two males were re­ported to be aged in their 20s. The driver had dark hair and the pas­sen­ger was wear­ing a cap.

The cap was lo­cated at Trafal­gar East where the of­fend­ers al­legedly dumped the util­ity.

A burnt or­ange Com­modore sedan may have been used by of­fend­ers dur­ing the theft of a util­ity and mo­tor­bike from War­ragul last week.
