Drouin Lions welcome Bert

Drouin Lions Club Garden and Home Expo monster trailer raffle was this year won by Hazel Jones, who was visiting the Expo from Chelsea Heights.

Hazel was very excited when she heard of her win.

Other prize winners in the monster raffle went to:

2nd Kevin Mayo from Warragul, 3rd Andrew from Rowes Nursery, 4th Belinda Forrest, 5th Leonie Hilton from Drouin, 6th Adam Babie from Stratford and 6th place went to Julie Andrews from Nar Nar Goon.

Drouin Lions Club president Erika Wassenberg congratula­ted all winners.

“We are proud to be able to bring this event to our great community.

“Drouin Lions Club will again be bringing the Expo to you next year which will be its 18th year.

“The Garden and Home Expo next year will be on October 13 and 14.”

The same week saw the Induction of another new member at Lions Club of Drouin. The club welcomed Bert Jell. Bert has recently moved to Drouin from Lindenow where he has been a previous president of their Lions Club.

Past District Governor Terry Hayler from the Drouin club inducted Bert. Bert presented a banner from his old club to president Erika Wassenberg.
