Com­ment on art shed mu­ral

The War­ragul Theatre Com­pany’s green shed needs a facelift and com­mu­nity mem­bers are be­ing urged to have their say on the shed’s new look.

Baw Baw Shire Coun­cil is seek­ing feed­back on what a street art mu­ral on the green shed should rep­re­sent.

The main aim of the project is to pre­vent graf­fiti on the green shed at East­ern Park through an ed­u­ca­tion pro­gram and em­pow­er­ment through com­mu­nity par­tic­i­pa­tion.

The out­side of the shed has been painted in prepa­ra­tion for a street art mu­ral that o Out­side of whole shed painted in prepa­ra­tion for art mu­ral.

A sur­vey be­ing run by coun­cil, asks com­mu­nity mem­bers if the mu­ral should rep­re­sent:

User group, com­mu­ni­ties and ac­tiv­i­ties at East­ern Park;

Scenery from Baw Baw Shire and the lo­cal com­mu­nity; or

The project is be­ing funded through a Jus­tice De­part­ment $25,000 graf­fiti pre­ven­tion grant.

It is ex­pected the project will be com­pleted next month.
