Warragul Fishing Club

Over the last month Warragul & District Angling Club has held two comps, the last weekend in October saw the yearly Warragul & District Angling Club vs Drouin Angling Club competition.

The fishing started off really well on the Friday afternoon with most boats getting fish but after that it was very tough going with not many more fish caught for the rest of the weekend.

Which gave the trophy back to Warragul for the 6th year running.

Last weekend Warragul & District Angling Club took on Wonthaggi Angling Club and Rhyll Angling Club.

With around 35-40 boats fishing it was always going to be a great comp, there was plenty of fish being caught around the corals area.

The results for the weekend taking the 5 best fish from each club going down to the wire. Warragul & District Angling Club 26.276kg Rhyll Angling Club 24.795kg Wonthaggi Angling Club 21.108kg Which gave Warragul the trophy, Well done to Murray Pervis 5.896kg and James Ollington 5.586kg from Warragul fishing club for taking out 2nd and 3rd places overall.
