Garfield-Tynong clashed with Buln Buln in a one-dayer with the Ti­tans hold­ing on to win a close match.

Choos­ing to bat first the home side set a good pace from the out­side.

Debu­tant Josh Phillips top scored with 45 with good sup­port from Ben O’Neill (35). Ja­son Ridler (18) and Mick O’Neill (21*) kept the score­board tick­ing over in the lat­ter overs.

Rob Park and James David­son each took two wick­ets. In re­ply, the Lyre­birds were all-out for 152. Ja­son Ridler was the best of the bowlers with 3/13 off six overs with James Francs chip­ping in with 3/33.

Pan­thers pounce

Yar­ragon 7/137 (cc) def. Western Park 10/114 Yar­ragon came out on top in its one-day con­test with Western Park.

Choos­ing to bat first the Pan­thers got away to a good start through Carlo Ier­fone (25) and Steve Green (38).

Kurt Bor­sato lifted the run rate late in the in­nings with a bound­ary laden 47 (five fours and two sixes) as the home side bat­ted out their al­lot­ted overs.

Dayne O’Dwyer was the pick of the bowlers with 2/22 off seven overs. Josh Win­field chimed in with 2/32.

Drouin’s Ash­ley Robin­son re­turns the ball from the out­field dur­ing the divi­sion four match against Western Park.
