Place names person sought
A new community representative is being sought for Baw Baw shire’s place names advisory committee.
Long serving member Malcolm Dickson of Warragul has stood down from the committee which is comprised of four shire councillors and up to five community members.
Members are appointed for four-year terms that coincidence with council elections.
Mr Dickson’s replacement would serve until the next council elections to be held in November 2020.
The committee provides advice to council on names for streets, roads, reserves and other features.
Interested applicants are asked to detail any cultural or historical groups with which they are involved or have a connection to.
