Warragul & Drouin Gazette - - NEWS -

More than 120 people recently gathered to celebrate the official opening of a bike track at Warragul Community Preschool.

The large crowd braved early wet weather to enjoy the opening.

Leading Senior Constable Kevin McLaren together with “Chase” from “Paw Patrol” made special appearances and cut the ribbon to open the bike track.

Sitting in a police car, meeting Chase and face painting, together with playing in the kindergarten playground, were highlights of the morning.

The bike track is a wonderful new addition to the kindergarten’s outdoor space and has proven a huge hit amongst children of all six groups since being installed.

The opening was no different as box cars, especially made by the kinder groups, raced around the track.

The bike track works were funded by a variety of fundraising efforts by the Parent Advisory Group (PAG) over several years.

PAG president Abbey Gough made special mention of the teaching staff as well as longserving PAG members Christie Bransgrove and Philippa Rankine in making the bike track a reality.

She also praised designer Prue Metcalfe and Wes McIntosh Landscapes for the works.
