Defibs in Trafalgar

-

Trafalgar Men’s Shed has installed defibrillator units in Trafalgar and Thorpdale to help safeguard community members.

Funded by the Community Bank Trafalgar and District with support from Trafalgar Rotary, the defibrillator units are conveniently located at the Trafalgar Pub and Thorpdale Bakery.

Bank branch manager Phil Drummond said defibrillators play a vital role in protecting the community and would be available 24 hours to assist in the event of an emergency.

The bank has also funded a third unit in Hill End at the former school site. This unit was installed in conjunction with HECI.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) have been shown to significantly improve the outcomes for people suffering cardiac arrest.
