Latest on dairy farming
ABOUT 100 dairy farmers from across the state converged on Toowoomba this week for the Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation forum and annual general meeting.
QDO president Brian Tessmann said the forum was all about getting farmers up to date on the latest developments in the industry.
There was plenty of interest from farmers thanks to recent shake-ups in the industry and a desire to hear more from ACCC Agricultural Commissioner Mick Keogh about progress on the dairy inquiry.
The event was also a chance for farmers from far and wide to catch up socially.
