Kidman ‘deserves an Oscar’
THE director of Nicole Kidman’s latest movie says she deserves an Oscar for her role as the adoptive mother of an Indian boy. Kidman (left) has been nominated for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for her role in Lion, a film about a boy separated from his family in India who ends up adopted by a couple in Australia, but uses Google Earth to find his way home. “It was uncanny how she understood this character, her spiritual connection to this story,” director Garth Davis said. “I would love her to win (an Oscar), she deserves to win,” he said.
