FBI facing probe over Clinton
THE FBI’s decision to announce the reopening of an inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s emails shortly before Election Day in the US is about to face Justice Department scrutiny. The probe comes in response to requests from members of Congress and the public. Mrs Clinton considers the announcement a factor in her defeat. The Office of Inspector General said it would look at decisions leading up to public statements by FBI Director James Comey (pictured) about the investigation and whether decisions might have been based on “improper considerations”.
