New look on way for Killarney
KILLARNEY streetscape is set for a makeover, with building to begin next week.
Southern Downs Regional Council said construction on the next stage was due to start on Tuesday on the western side of the town, at the end of the previous stage.
Works will continue south along Willow St to the Pat Bush Park entrance, and will include replacing the kerb and channelling, footpath and property access.
The council said there would also be some alterations to water service and disruption to parking in the area.
The construction on the western side is expected to take five to six weeks with traffic management to be in place until building has finished.
A water main on the eastern side of town is also due for replacement and the SDRC said it would begin those works if construction was ahead of schedule.
