Clive’s fugi­tive nephew still paid

CLIVE Palmer has been us­ing his com­pany Min­er­al­ogy to pay his nephew Clive Mensink more than $8000 a fort­night de­spite the ex­is­tence of two war­rants for his ar­rest. Giv­ing ev­i­dence yes­ter­day be­fore the Queens­land Supreme Court – where tax­payer-funded liquidators are try­ing to freeze his as­sets to cover debts to Queens­land Nickel cred­i­tors and sacked work­ers – Mr Palmer (pic­tured) said Mr Mensink, the sole reg­is­tered di­rec­tor when QN col­lapsed last year, was en­ti­tled to re­ceive his salary. Mr Mensink has re­fused to re­turn from an over­seas hol­i­day.
