Religious freedom under threat?

Warwick Daily News - - NEWS | OPINION - — Peter Wiggins, Warwick

IT WOULD appear that freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of conscience and freedom of religion are already being outlawed in Queensland.

A Stanthorpe church had legally displayed on Queensland Rail property a sign stating that in Mark 10:6 Jesus said, “God made them male and female”.

Evidentially, same-sex marriage activates pressured Queensland Rail to have the message removed.

It is deplorable that in 2017 in Queensland, and the “free” country of Australia, the words of Jesus are no longer permitted to be written or spoken or broadcast.

What will happen next? Will Bible-believing Christians no longer be permitted to publicly remind people that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (Jn.3:16).”

Our society is degenerating fast when

❝Queensland, It is deplorable that in 2017 in and the “free” country of Australia, the words of Jesus are no longer permitted to be written or spoken or broadcast.

God’s word is being rejected, disregarded and considered too offensive.

Let’s have some backbone and common sense. May we vote “no” to a contempt for God’s word – the Bible, and may we vote “no” to changing our creator God’s institution of marriage which is between a man and a woman.
