IT’S enough to give anyone the creeps. A Queensland mother has come home to find a picture of Pennywise the Dancing Clown and a balloon with “You’ll Float Too” written on it pinned to her door.
Both feature in the newly released horror film, It. Fearing the worst, the woman checked around her property to see if there were any clowns lurking nearby.
But she said the prank made her more angry than anything because she has children, one of whom is only two years old.
“If he was to have seen one of these clowns he would have been terrified,” she said.
The creepy act appears to be part of a clown craze that has made a resurgence since the release of the film on September 7.
But when we asked our Facebook audience if this was harmless fun or a clown prank gone too far, the response was pretty much unanimous: yes, too far.
“I’d turn around and leave and never come back,” one Facebook user wrote.
“I’d burn the house to the ground,” said another. Another wrote: “That’s what nightmares are made of.” What do you think: harmless fun or too far?
The Queensland mum was unnerved to find this on her door.
