MARK Cummins already won the Queensland Father of the Year title in 2012, well before one of his boys, Nick, aka The Honey Badger, started popping up on TV and bus-stop advertising – usually in his undies.

But The Bachelor, Nick’s latest punt on reality TV, isn’t a major topic in the Cummins house.

In Saturday’s edition of Weekend, in the Warwick Daily News, meet the single father who raised eight children, two with cystic fibrosis, and has fought stage four terminal prostate and secondary cancers for the past five years. Also inside, pool bars, palm trees, secret beaches and an endless summer – find out why Townsville and Magnetic Island are hot holiday property in Escape.
