History as women rule

Warwick Daily News - - NATION -

IT WAS a small but significant group that gathered to carry out the business of governing South Australia yesterday.

For what is believed to be the first time, it was an all-female meeting of the state’s Executive Council at Government House.

With Premier Steven Marshall and Governor Hieu Van Le on leave, acting Premier Vickie Chapman and Lieutenant Governor Brenda Wilson stepped in. They were joined by the Liberal Government’s only other women in the 14person Cabinet, Human Services Minister Michelle Lensink and Child Protection Minister Rachel Sanderson.
